Keep a copy you control.

Export & Backup is available from Settings.

01

Export CSV

  1. Open Settings, then Export & Backup.
  2. Choose Export CSV.
  3. Select a destination in Android's file picker.

The export is a ZIP with one CSV per table and a flattened spreadsheet file.

02

Create a backup

  1. Open Settings, then Export & Backup.
  2. Choose Create backup.
  3. Enter a password for encryption, or leave it empty only after reading the plaintext warning.
  4. Choose where to save the file.

Backups may be password-encrypted with AES-256-GCM.

The password stays with the user and cannot be recovered by the developer.

03

Restore

  1. Make a current backup before replacing data.
  2. Choose Restore from backup and select the file.
  3. Enter the password when the backup is encrypted.
  4. Review the backup date and session count, then confirm Restore.

Restoring replaces everything in Felt Stack with the selected backup.

Restore validates the archive before it changes current data.

04

If restore fails

A failed restore leaves current data untouched.

A successful restore keeps a safety copy on this device.

An encrypted backup cannot be opened without its password.

A backup made by a newer app schema is rejected, so update Felt Stack before retrying.

Check that you selected a Felt Stack backup file.
Re-enter the password exactly as it was created.
Update Felt Stack before retrying a backup from a newer version.
Keep the failed file and the current app data until support replies.
